If you you know us, then you may know we enjoy long walks in the wilderness with tons of gear and no trails. We love all things LRP and LandNav, and every one of us is an expert wayfinder with map & compass (and even without those). We recently heard about the app Theodolite from Hunter Research & Technologies, for iOS.
This thing is super slick and has a ton of features. Previously, you would need several apps to come close to the features in this one, but still not have the great Augmented Reality style navigation hud that this gives you. What was really suprising was the fact that it's only $3.99 (based on such an advanced and specialized app, that's pretty damn low). It has more bells and whistles than I wanna spend the time listing here, so learn more about the app on the hrt site.

You may not hear from us often, but there is usually a lot going on behind the scenes with HF. We're undergoing some team-wide upgrades, and HFTC is included.
We have learned a lot from our previous challenges, and in our team training. We are going back to the drawing board and we're going put that into our next team challenge design. We don't have a date yet, it will be ready when it's ready.
Bottom line, we won't be able to put on a challenge without signups. We have added an email address field to the HFTC Page in order to gauge interest. Even if we have your email address already, please add it there so we can see how many folks are interested, as well as send you updates for our future iteration of the challenge.

Hatchet Force attended the 11th annual Operation Lion Claws MILSIM Airsoft event. We were fielded under the command of Col. Danny McKnight, U.S. Army RANGER (Ret.), on 4th Squad, 3rd Platoon, Alpha Company.
We fought hard and completed our objectives. In the end, ALPHA Company was victorious.
We had a great time and would like to thank the OPLCMSS crew and all the players for making it an awesome weekend.

Sorry folks. Unfortunately we have not been getting enough sign-ups for this event. We have decided to shelve it for now and hopefully revisit it at a later date.
We are looking for ways to bring back HFTC, so stay tuned here and on our facebook page for intel.
