About

About Hatchet Force

Formed in 2002, we are a California-based group of tactically trained individuals with varying backgrounds from U.S. Special Forces, law enforcement, martial arts, and stunts. We have appeared in various films, television/stunt shows, documentaries, and airsoft/simulation/reinactment events.

Team training is scheduled on a regular basis and is extremely challenging, mentally and physically. If this is not your idea of fun, then Hatchet Force is probably not for you. If you think you got what it takes… send us an email with a quick intro and we will take it from there.

The History

From Wikipedia:

A Hatchet Force or Hatchet Team was a special operations team of American and South Vietnamese members of MACV-SOG during the Vietnam War, who operated in small covert operations along the Ho Chi Minh trail from 1966. The units specialized in search and destroy missions and in locating missing American servicemen in Laos, Cambodia and North Vietnam.

Their motto: “Kill ‘em all, let God sort ‘em out”

Their name: Hatchet Force.

We had the pleasure of knowing one of those brave men — we continue in honor of his service, and those like him. SFC (R) Mizuho ‘Bo’ Bobroskie was a member of S.O.G. in Viet Nam, and one of the original Hatchet Force operators. He is also, and will always be an Honorary Hatchet Force team member. Rest in peace Bo.

Our Insignia

We chose the name "Hatchet Force" because it was never really an official U.S. Military unit, but mainly operators from varying backgrounds who would put together, train, and lead combat teams.

Our patch & tab are designed after the U.S. Special Forces patches, but they are changed slightly out of respect for those who have earned the real thing. The patch is made up of 3 parts:

  • Red Arrowhead
Stealth and Field Crafts of the Native American Warriors.

  • Black Axe
Reliability, Decisiveness, Courage and Strength in Battle.

  • 3 Silver Lightning Bolts
Earnestness, Blinding speed and violence of action via Land, Sea, or Air.
